This listening experiment is part of a series of online experiments on the use of timing and tempo in music performance.

This study focuses on the question: Can you hear whether an audio fragment is a real performance or a manipulated, tempo-transformed version of it (using fragments from the Jazz, Rock and Classical repertoire)?

The experiment will be presented in three steps consisting of 1) a QuickTime Plugin check to make sure you can play the audio examples, 2) a questionnaire on your musical experience and interests, and 3) the actual listening experiment. The entire experiment will take about twenty minutes.
